A trip to Edmonton’s Valley Zoo

The Valley Zoo in Edmonton’s beautiful river valley is an older style zoo. It was originally opened in 1959 and its design mirrors many of the zoos designed and opened at the time. While the animals all appear healthy and I’m confident they are well-cared for, many of the enclosures do not lend themselves to making photographs in a manner that excludes the enclosure.
