Polar Bear Relaxing - Seal River, Canada

PFB_20091108_9213While Polar Bears wait for the water of Hudson Bay to freeze into sea ice, they spend a lot of their time on shore patiently sleeping and waiting.  Once the water freezes sufficiently, the bears head out onto the ice to hunt for their favourite food; seals.  In the mean time, there is little to do but sleep.  To purchase a print of this image, click here.
